Brought a client in to the St.John's location for an assessment regarding transit. Client is totally blind, receptionist asked them to sign a document with no explanation as to what the document was. It was up to me to read the document to the client and have them sign it. Receptionist said it would be Ok if I signed it. No idea who I was or why I was there other than to accompany a client. So no, it is not Ok for me to sign.if this organization is doing assessments for the disability community then they need to get their act together. No respect for These disabled clients. This is dehumanizing to them.
